Welcome. Thanks for looking at my website & checking me out.  I look forward to the opportunity to serve you...
For well over 20 years in a variety of settings, I have been counseling and mentoring clients who are coping with difficult life situations in self-defeating ways.  In my current Bellingham office, I draw on my foundational training in Wilderness Therapy & Outdoor Education and integrate it with my Master's level training in experiential learning, Gestalt Therapy, Transpersonal Psychology, and mindfulness.

When working with clients, I look to support compassionate curiosity and mindful awareness. I strive to address the multitude of parts that make up the entirety of we are.  I look to assist clients in recognizing those parts of self that they deny and reject and bring the "shadow" into balance with those parts of self that they currently embrace and recognize. I do that by supporting clients in understanding the connection between mind/body and I encourage clients to develop a discriminating awareness that cuts through the fog leaving bare the authentic self.  Additionally I support clients  in accessing their wise mind and their untapped empathy/compassion for self.

The skills I have honed over the years as a group facilitator, educator, and guide now serve me in assisting clients in discovering how to resolve internal/external problems in a non-judemental, productive and nurturing manner.  As a result of varied life experiences and professional development, I have the skills necessary to truly sit with my clients, listen to their stories, and reflect back to them with compassion and directness that which I believe will support them in their desire to live a more balanced and meaningful life.
